Our next storm will be once again an elevation driven event. Higher hilltops will see accumulations, with significantly less snow in the valleys. A storm system track by to our north and west, allowing warmer air to draw in from that south. As this storm transfers it's energy to the Atlantic coast, colder air will wrap into Central New York. This complex series of events will make for widely variable conditions across our region.

Our first significant lake effect event has begun. Most of the lake effect will stay out of the NewsChannel 2 viewing area tonight, but as winds change tonight, that lake band will dip south and impact the Tug Hill and North Country. As winds continue to shift tomorrow night, it looks like everyone has a shot to see some brief snow Monday night.
